We began our journey in 1998 on the white sands of Cocoa Beach Florida with our first store, Shady Characters Sunglass Emporium. With a modest investment of $5000.00 to start and 3 years of unpaid sweat equity to become of the most premiere dealers in all of the east coast. Our 2nd store front along with our website ( OPTICFLARE.COM ) was started in 2001 in Indialantic, Fl.
Our 3rd store was opened in 2005 constructed from 2000lbs of steel, powder coat and a sick amount of wattage at the Melbourne Sq.Mall. In 2009 we decided that mall based stores no longer fit our business model so we contracted back to our beachside stores to make them stronger than ever. We have placed a huge emphasis on our web based business servicing US, Canada and all APO / FPO locations.
